Lake Perris 5/20/2018
The final event of the 2018 Inland Empire region was held on 5/20/2018 at Lake Perris. The 2018 Anglers of the Year for the Inland Empire region are Pete Marino & Ed Cleveland! Check out the points standings to see the full Anglers of the Year Standings. The Anglers of the Year title is decided by the best 5 events of the year.
Each exciting American Bass/Ranger Boats Team Classic's awards a new Ranger/Mercury/Lowrance boat package to the winning team. These events are invitation only events. Teams earn an invitation by qualifying in one of the many American Bass team regions. First place at each of the Team Classic's will receive a Ranger/Mercury boat package no matter the number of boats competing! The Team Classics feature a $200 basic entry fee (plus mandatory event fees) with a 100% payback of the entry fee to second place through the 20% of field. Examples; if there are 100 boats in the Team Classic, there would be $20,000 cash awarded to 2nd-20th places. If there are 80 boats in the Team Classic, there would be $16,000 cash awarded to 2nd16th places. The $200 entry is required, teams may also choose to enter additional options for a chance to win even more cash! If you have never qualified, you need to make this your year!

Taking First Place at the final event of the season at Lake Perris was Jay Hock J of Yorba Linda, CA and Gary Robson of Riverside, CA. They had a great day on the water weighing in 4 Bass that weighed 17.17 lbs! Along with their 1st Place trophies they received $1,295.00 CASH! Congratulations on your victory! Jay is a member of the Anglers Marine, J Hock Pool Plastering, Robson's Cabinets, Robo Worms, Mercury Outboards, and Tackle Warehouse teams.
Taking 2nd place at Lake Perris was the team of Ed Cleveland and Pete Marino. They took second place by bringing 4 Bass to the scales that weighed 15.98lbs. They received $485.00 CASH and a pair of 2nd place plaques! Pete is a member of the Hot Sauce, Edge Products, Gee Gee Baits, Maxima, Bass Pro Shops, Dobyns Rods, Bass King, Bridgford Foods, Fairview Ford, and Nitro Boats teams. Congrats on the runner-up spot at Lake Perris.
The 3rd place team at the Lake Perris tournament was Russell Slayman and Rickie Slayman. They weighed 4 Bass going 14.09 lbs! They collected $235.00 CASH for their day of fishing! Nice Going Russell and Rickie!
In 4th place we had Tommy Lee and Sonny Marks. They weighed in 4 Bass for a total weight of 13.87 lbs! Great job at Lake Perris!
Rounding out the top 5 at Lake Perris was the team of George Brown and James Gorman. They're 4 Bass weighing 13.76 lbs. earned them this top 5 finish! They received the 5th Place Plaques. The biggest Bass of the day was weighed in by the team of Gary Robson & Jay Hock. Their big fish weighed 6.81 pounds!
This region offers American Bass angler's some of the best fishing in the West! To qualify from any region, you need to compete in a minimum of 5 events. If you fish at least 6 events in one season you are qualified to fish all three American Bass/Ranger Boats Team Classics! Jump in next season if you missed out this season.
