Lake Almanor 5/19/2018
Event #4 on the 2018 Shasta Cascade region trail was held on 5/19/2018 at Lake Almanor. We are now past the mid-point in the season. Check out the points standings to see which teams are at the top of the heap! Even if you haven't started fishing, it's not too late to jump into the season. American Bass offers a Traveler's region. American Bass Traveler's Region allows you to fish and earn points by fishing in two or more regions. Build you own schedule and qualify for one of the exciting American Bass/Ranger Boats Team Classic's!
Each exciting American Bass/Ranger Boats Team Classic's awards a new Ranger/Mercury/Lowrance boat package to the winning team. These events are invitation only events. Teams earn an invitation by qualifying in one of the many American Bass team regions. First place at each of the Team Classic's will receive a Ranger/Mercury boat package no matter the number of boats competing! The Team Classics feature a $200 basic entry fee (plus mandatory event fees) with a 100% payback of the entry fee to second place through the 20% of field. Examples; if there are 100 boats in the Team Classic, there would be $20,000 cash awarded to 2nd-20th places. If there are 80 boats in the Team Classic, there would be $16,000 cash awarded to 2nd16th places. The $200 entry is required, teams may also choose to enter additional options for a chance to win even more cash! If you have never qualified, you need to make this your year!

The team taking top honors at Almanor was Justin Gordon of Redding, CA and Nick Wood of Yreka, CA. They had a great day on the water and brought to the scales a bag that weighed 16.41lbs! Along with their 1st Place trophies they received $1372.50 CASH! Congratulations on your victory!
Coming in 2nd place at Almanor was the team of Jay Guterding & Bob Benson. They took second place by bringing a bag of Bass to the scales that weighed 16.27lbs. They received $865.50 CASH and a pair of 2nd place plaques! Jay is a member of the Calif. Custom Marine and Phil's Props teams. Congrats on the runner-up spot at Almanor!
3rd place at the Lake Almanor tournament was the team of Mike Carney & Patrick Cardoza. They brought a bag of Bass going 15.73lbs! They collected $267.00 CASH for their day of fishing! Nice Going Mike and Patrick!
In 4th place we had Grant Harnist & Robert Tibbitts. They brought in a bag of Bass for a total weight of 15.35lbs. and collected $160.00 CASH! Great job at Almanor!
Rounding out the top 5 at Lake Almanor on 5/19/2018 was the team of Ken Sawyer & Tom Oxford. They're Bass weighed 15.26lbs. and earned them this top 5 finish! They received the 5th Place Plaques at this event.
The biggest Bass of the day was weighed in by the team of Jay Guterding & Bob Benson. Their big fish weighed 4.22 pounds!
This region offers American Bass angler's some of the best fishing in the West! To qualify from any region, you need to compete in a minimum of 5 events. Jump in at the next tournament if you missed this event. All of you Traveler's players should take a look at some of the events in this region, it will be a lot of fun!
