This 8th of 9 events of the 2018 Central Arizona region was held on 4/21/2018 at Lake Roosevelt. Each exciting American Bass/Ranger Boats Team Classic awards a new Ranger/Mercury boat package to the winning team. These events are invitation events. Teams earn an invitation by qualifying in one of the many American Bass team regions. The Team Classics feature a $100 basic entry fee with a 100% payback of the entry fee to second place through the 20% of field. Examples; if there are 100 boats in the Team Classic, there would be $10,000 cash awarded to 2nd-20th places. If there are 80 boats in the Team Classic, there would be $8,000 cash awarded to 2nd16th places. First place will receive the Ranger/Mercury boat package no matter the number of boats competing! The $100 entry is required, teams may also choose to enter additional options for a chance to win even more cash! If you have never qualified, you need to make this your year!

Taking First Place at this event held at Roosevelt was Greg Valenzuela of Tucson, AZ and David Stachowski of Tucson, AZ. They had a great day on the water weighing in 5 Bass that weighed 18.21 lbs! Along with their 1st Place trophies they received $874. CASH! Congratulations on your victory! Greg is a member of the Bluewater Tackle & Marine, Shimano, Procraft Boats, Mercury Outboards, Lowrance, and Cul-M-Rite teams.

Taking 2nd place at Roosevelt was the team of Shannon Coppell and Tom Loughran. They took second place by bringing 5 Bass to the scales that weighed 17.11lbs. They received $650. CASH and a pair of 2nd place plaques! Tom is a member of the Phoenix Fishing & Camping Supply teams. Congrats on a great weight!

The 3rd place team at the Roosevelt tournament was Bobby Lanham and Steve Watson. They weighed 5 Bass going 13.54 lbs! They collected $96.00 CASH for their day of fishing! Bobby is a member of the Bill Luke Dodge and Paradise Valley Drilling teams. Nice job Bobby and Steve!

In 4th place we had Kyle Randall and Cameron Geske. They weighed in 5 Bass for a total weight of 13.22 lbs! Great job at Roosevelt!

Rounding out the top 5 at Roosevelt / Ringtail Ramp on was the team of John Whaley and Ron Bowman. They had 5 Bass weighing 12.18 lbs. which earned them this top 5 finish! They received the 5th Place Plaques!

The biggest Bass of the day was weighed in by the team of Shannon Coppell & Tom Loughran. Their big fish weighed 5.35 pounds!

This region offers American Bass angler's some of the best fishing in the West! To qualify from any region you need to compete in a minimum of 5 events. If you fish at least 6 events in one season you are qualified to fish all three American Bass/Ranger Boats Team Classics! Jump in next season if you missed out this season. All of you Traveler's players should take a look at some of the events in this region, it will be a lot of fun! The final event for Central Arizona will be held on May 19, 2018 at Roosevelt / Windy Hill Ramp-Badger.
